Javier Barrera

Javier Barrera oversees the company strategy and operations for AltiusPAR. An award-winning economist, Barrera comes to AltiusPAR after spending 18 years in the hospitality industry. Most recently he served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Grupo Posadas, a leading global hotel chain based in Latin America. An economist by training, Barrera holds an undergraduate degree from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) and an MBA from Tulane University. In 1986, he was granted the National Award on Economics.

Leopoldo Toro

Along with CEO Javier Barrera, Leopoldo Toro oversees operations and sets the overall direction for AltiusPAR. He is also responsible for all operating functions of AltiusPAR and reports directly to Barrera.

Toro held several senior management positions in logistics, sales, marketing and finance at Rohm and Haas Co. He also worked at Arthur D. Little as a senior consultant in the strategy and technology management practices. Toro also worked as a consultant for large energy and chemical industry companies specializing in technology strategy, evaluation, implementation, knowledge management and technology asset valuations. Toro has an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering and holds an MBA from the Universidad Ramon Llull in Barcelona, Spain.

Connie Rheams

A hospitality industry veteran, Connie Rheams is responsible for strategic corporate initiatives at AltiusPAR, including partner relations and global business development and marketing.

Rheams comes to AltiusPAR from Cendant Corporation, where she was most recently vice president of the company’s Travel Distribution Hospitality and Leisure Group. During her tenure, her responsibilities included business development, management of all sales initiatives in the Americas, and implementation of other Cendant company and partner programs. Prior to Cendant, she was president of TRUST Inc., which was acquired by Cendant in 2002.

Prior to TRUST, Rheams spent 14 years at AMR Corporation, where she held various management positions at American Airlines, TeleService Resources, and SABRE. While at AMR, Rheams led the hospitality division at TeleService Resources, and served as the head of product marketing for SABRE Internet Travel Solutions.

Frequently a speaker at influential industry conferences, Rheams also serves on the board of several highly respected industry publications, including Hotel Executive Magazine. Rheams received her MBA from Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business.

Victor Vargas

Victor Vargas has a proven track record of delivering successful software products to the hospitality industry. As the Director of Product Management for AltiusPAR, he is responsible for overseeing the design, development and implementation of state-of-the-art products and technologies to addresses current and future customer needs. Prior to his current position, Mr. Vargas served as the Director of Research & Development for the company and was the chief solution architect for AltiusPAR's Central Inventory Systems (CIS) and Distribution Technology Platform, the core technologies behind AltiusPAR's enterprise guest management solution.

Vargas graduated with honors from the Universidad ISEC, where he received an undergraduate degree in computer science engineering and holds an MBA from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) obtaining certifications for both Marketing and Finance.

Joe Farnsworth

Joe Farnsworth is responsible for all customer facing operational aspects for AltiusPAR, including Electronic Channels, Operations, Quality Assurance, Service Delivery, Training and Customer Service.

Joe has 10+ years in the hospitality industry, most recently as Director of Service Delivery with Pegasus Solutions. At Pegasus Solutions, his responsibilities included leading service delivery and customer service for the Americas region, being responsible for the well being of all representation service customers in the region. Joe also lead the call center operations in North America for Pegasus which included direct management of the call center in Scottsdale, AZ and of their outsourcing partnerships in the region. Prior to Pegasus Solutions, Joe spent 5 years with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in their Worldwide Call Center where he held various leadership positions.

Mr. Farnsworth holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Information Systems as well as an MBA with a focus on International Management and Finance, both from Bellevue University.

Ian Eichmann

Regional Delivery Manager, EMEA
Ian Eichmann brings over 13 years of experience in the areas of IT consulting, engineering and operations to his current role at AltiusPAR where he oversees the company’s operations and delivery in EMEA. Prior to joining AltiusPAR, Eichmann held various management positions at Hermes Systems and e-Siglo, where he successfully implemented state-of-the-art technology solutions for multinational companies across different segments. Eichmann is a regular panelist and speaker at industry conferences and is a regular contributor to several influential industry blogs and discussion groups.

Eichmann graduated with honors from Technological University in Mexico with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technologies.

Samuel Martinez

Samuel Martinez brings more than 12 years of technology leadership experience in software engineering, technology planning & management to his current role of overseeing AltiusPAR's R&D team. Mr. Martinez worked for five years at Grupo Posadas where he was the Solution Architect behind all interfacing and integration projects. Prior to joining Grupo Posadas, he held various positions at consulting companies, where he implemented state-of-the-art technology solutions in the financial and insurance industries.

Martinez graduated with honors from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technologies and holds an MBA from Universidad La Salle.
